New Plymouth's Pukekura Park is right in the heart of the city and covers about 52 hectare of land. It provides a variety of formal gardens, lakes and walking trails.
 
Children will enjoy the paddle boats, large enough for the whole family to enjoy.
 
The   Coastal Walkway runs along the coast for seven kilometres and is ideal for those wanting to go for a walk or bikes.
 
Sugar Loaf Island (Nga Motu)
The Sugar Loaf Islands lie just offshore from New Plymouth. This conservation park includes a marine reserve around the island.
