To get to Masterton you can travel by car from Wellington, along State Highway 2. Don't forget to take a short detour to Martinborough on highway 53 to see this wonderful town.

If visiting this area in October don't forget to see the Gladstone Scarecrow Festival - this is recommended as a great family day out. Take a camera and a packed lunch, it is well worth the drive.
