Lakes and walks
Lake Wanaka
Spoil yourself with a relaxed picnic along
the shores at Lake Wanaka.
Any of the reserves along the lake front will guarantee you a
pleasant and beautiful spot to enjoy your picnic.
If you feel like a walk at Lake Wanaka, start
at the Waterfall Creek Walk.
This walk takes you to Roys Bay and the Roys Bay Recreation
Reserve. You can continue on this walk up to Eely Point and Eely
Point Recreation Reserve, or go even further still until you
finally continue until you get to Beacon Point Reserve. A bit of
a hike, but then who said that you have to go that far. Just
find a spot and stop and relax.
Other reserves in Lake Wanaka are Kellys
Flat Reserve or Faulks Terrace Reserve. Pambroke
Park is off Ardmore Street and a large recreation
reserve lies between Plantation Road and Lismore Street
