Te Awamutu is best known as the town where the Finn brothers came
from. For those who are not familiar with the Finn brothers, they
featured in two very popular New Zealand bands -
Split Enz and Crowded House.
Parks and walks
- The Memorial Park Gardens are located on Mutu
Street and have a children's playground.

- Victoria Park in Teasdale
Street, Te Awamutu, also has a playground.

- Lake Ngaroto
has a 'Floating
Footbridge' and is an ideal area for kayaking, and has a
playground on site.

- Rewi Street
in Te Awamutu has both a BMX Track and a Skateboard
Bowl, and both attractions are located next to each other.
