At the end of the programme, the
riders and sliders can show off their newfound
skills to their families at the new TC Cat Fun
Day which sees the kids take on a number of
challenges designed to test what they’ve
learned, with a few thrills and spills thrown in
for good measure!
Treble Cone Ski Field is a
perfect setting for getting kids on the snow.
It’s a great safe environment for those starting
off. For those that are looking at a career in
racing or freestyle skiing or riding, they have
got the terrain to really challenge the
youngsters who already have a lot of experience
under their belt.
For older children, Treble Cone's
natural terrain makes it the perfect setting for
a true big mountain freeski training environment
with the TC Freeride Team programme.
Aimed at teenagers who want to
progress in free skiing or boarding, whether to
compete or just increase their skill base, the
TC Freeride Team programme includes six
Saturdays coaching mid season. There is also the
option to add a further six days in September to
aim towards the New Zealand Freeski Nationals.
Safety is paramount and the focus is on teaching
the correct skills to enhance a safer big
mountain experience for all participants. All
the children are individually coached with the
classes tailored to their needs and abilities.”
The youth programmes at Treble
Cone start on the first weekend of school
holidays – 24/25 July. For further information
