Warkworth Birthing Centre opened in February 2000. It is situated in rural surroundings on a hill above the town and has a quiet, homely atmosphere. Partners can stay for the first night (Birth Day). There are four family birthing rooms with double beds and bathroom ensuites available.

TABS are a group of mothers who have in common, stressful or traumatic pregnancies or births, which affected their lives negatively, for months or years afterwards. They hold support meetings, post natal, reflections and life skill workshops  putting women in touch with therapists and helping agencies, educated health professionals.

We are a non-profit organisation run by women (who have miscarried) to give peer support to others struggling with the often invalidated and minimized grief of miscarriage through our pamphlets, website, email service, bulletin board and Support line.
