A
support group to help mothers with breastfeeding, through encouragement,
information and education. There are over 50 Groups and 170 Leaders
throughout New Zealand, giving
breastfeeding
support and information largely through monthly
meetings
and telephone counselling on a mother-to-mother basis.
- A series of our meetings, held
monthly, run throughout the year,
- covering topics such as the
advantages of breastfeeding, pregnancy, childbirth, getting
breastfeeding off to a good start, common
- breastfeeding problems and how to
solve them, parenting, nutrition and weaning. Babies and toddlers
are welcome at meetings, along with their mothers.

The Hutt Valley
Breastfeeding Coalition is a non-profit association whose mission
is to promote and support breastfeeding through education and outreach
in our community.
Meetings are always child-friendly and are held on the first
Wednesday of the Month in the Pilmuir House Boardroom in Hutt Hospital
from 10 am-12 noon.
Participants from all walks of life and backgrounds are welcomed
into the group the only requirement is a dedication to supporting
breastfeeding families in the Hutt Valley.
