Deaf Association of New Zealand
Incorporated was formed in November 1977 and started
providing services when it opened its first office in
Auckland in 1980. Now there are eleven offices nationwide
and one outreach service.
The Association is unique in the fact that
its governing body is ruled by elected Deaf members of the
Deaf community.
It is also the only nationwide provider of
services to Deaf people.
