Otago Museum,
419 Great King Street, Dunedin.
A visit to the Otago Museum is a must for families as it has
a special section called Discovery World, which is a hands-on place
for children to visit. In 2007 the museum opened up a three-storey
tropical indoor forest, with live butterflies and tropical plants.

Gore
There are two main museums in Gore, the
Gore
Historical Museum and the Hokonui Moonshine Museum. The Gore
Historical Museum has a range of exhibitions centred around the
region's history. The other museum, Hokonui Moonshine Museum, traces
the history of the region's prohibition.
