Chewy Chocolate Bars

1 cup Flour

1 cup coconut

1 cup cornflakes

½ cup sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa

1 teaspoon baking powder

125g / 4oz  butter

2 tablespoons golden syrup

Method

1.    Preheat oven to 180 C (350 F) and grease a sandwich tin. 

2.    Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt into a large bowl. Add

       other dry ingredients and mix well.

3.    Melt butter and golden syrup together and pour into the dry

       ingredients. Blend ingredients well.

4.   Press into a greased sandwich tin and bake for 20 minutes at 

     180 C (350 F). Allow to cool and then ice with chocolate icing.
