Bottoms up

Okay, before you read much more I want you to think for a moment about your underwear draw. What does it contain, bras, panties, socks, stocking and singlets?

Are they new or old? Do you have one or more pair of underwear than has lost its shape or worst its elastic? Could you find at least two pairs of underwear that really should have been thrown out ages ago?

Okay do you have a picture in your head now. If you don't go on, stop reading this and go and have a look and then come back to me.

Now lets do a little test, give yourself a score of   0 if you answer no to any of these questions and 1 point if you answer yes to any of these questions. Ready.

1.   Do any of your bras not fit you correctly? i.e. are they too big or too small           Yes  /   No

2.   Do any of your underwear look like it should be put in the rubbish bin?             Yes   / No

3.  Do any of your  underpants need to be repaired? i.e. new elastic?                 Yes / No

4.  Do you wear non-matching bra's and knickers?                       Yes  / No

5.  Do you feel frumpy in your underwear?                           Yes  /  No

Right if you have answered yes to any of these questions, my bet is that you have underwear in your dressers that is old, past its best, doesn't match and you wear underwear and not sexy, pretty lingerie. Am I close?

I known most of the time the only one who knows what you are wearing underneath your clothes is yourself or your partner, but ill-fitting and old underwear doesn't do anything for you.  What you wear underneath affects the way your clothes on top of look and lets face it do you really feel sexy when you undress in front of partner with those old, non-elastic underpants on?

So what should you do, for a start think sexy. Wearing underwear that is the right size for your body is important. It will make your clothes look better and you will feel better too.

  • Go through your dresser draws every now and again and replace old and worn out underwear with new ones.

  • Just remember an ill fitting bra that is too small will give you extra boobs, while a bra that is too big will wrinkle under a t-shirt. Neither is a good look.

  • Underwear that is too tight will give you the "panty line" under jeans and skirts.  What about those loose underpants, the ones that are stained and really should be thrown out, do you really feel beautiful or sexy in those?

  • Take a look at what new development in underwear is doing. Okay here I'm not talking about pretty lingerie but those knickers and elasticated body corset that take ten pounds off your stomach, bums and thighs

  • If you think your too old or that your a mum and you shouldn't wear clothes like that, don't you think you deserve to feel special. This is one way you can give yourself a pick me up every day with no one being the wiser. Gorgeous bras are not uncomfortable if you get the right one.

  • Buy t-shirt bras if you wear a lot of t-shirt like tops, lacy bras don't look good under a t-shirt as the lace tends to show through as ripples and bumps.

  • Your bra shouldn't be able to be seen through your top, remember don't wear a black or white bra under a white top - you will see them.

When you do buy new underwear think lingerie and think matching colours. What it does is makes you think about the choices you make. It makes you think about buy something that will make you feel good, literally from the bottom up. And as much as I hate that line - "Your worth it" - you are.
