Keep your family safe during Guy Fawkes
During the Guy Fawkes period in
2005, there were over 700 fires, dozens of injuries and many
thousands of dollars worth of property destroyed.
That is why a temporary website with
fireworks safety tips and a nationwide list of public displays
has been set up jointly by ERMA New Zealand, Fire Service,
Police and Ministry for the Environment in an initiative to
promote safety this Guy Fawkes.

Poisoning Website Launched to Mark Start of Child Safety
Campaign

Three year
old Auckland boy Joshua Ward, severely poisoned by
automatic dishwasher detergent in 2004, today joined the
Minister of Health, the Honourable Pete Hodgson to
launch the first poisoning prevention website in
Australasia.
