Time to
Talk
Teaching our
children a new language couldn't be easier with several websites catering
for parents and their families.
You can
teach your children Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Maori, Sign
Language and Spanish.
In Ponsonby,
Auckland is the Frenz School which is part of the Richmond Road School and
provides a school environment where children can be immersed in the French
language starting at primary school age. There website
Frenz School is
interesting and is a great place to start if you are in this area and wish
your child to learn French as a second language.
When looking for websites that
dealt with Maori we came across two that we thought we be of interest the
first is totally focused on the language maori and
the other is New Beginnings.
Of course not all language is
spoken, sign language is used by a portion of our population. For those
interested in finding out more about this we suggest investigating the
following websites New Zealand
Sign Language Tutors Association
. Another website that focuses on sign language but
is not for deaf babies is Baby
Talk.
The
following two websites provide parents with educational tools to help
teach a variety of languages and we found both had a wide range of
educational tools to help your child learn.
