Former positive-parenting educator and counsellor with a nursing background, Miriam Rutherford-van Gisbergen, originally designed the Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap to be used in conjunction with positive, trust-building parenting skills to keep her own babies safe and comfortable while sleeping.

Designed for use with 0-3 year olds, or up to six years for boating and special needs users, the Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap comes in a variety of bed sizes – the Classic size and Travel size being the most popular. 

Made from 100% scientifically tested, breathable cotton fabric, the Sleepwrap leaves arms and legs free to allow a wide range of natural, flexible movements according to individual babies ages and stages of development. 

Babies aged 0-3 years are able to do everything they are developmentally ready to do. The only things they cannot do are all the things which may pose a danger to them.  While the Sleepwrap was not designed as a ‘cot death’ preventative product, it does help prevent the major identifiable ‘cot death’ risk factor of tummy sleeping, while still allowing the choice of stable side sleeping.

This has now been clinically proven. The Safe T  Sleep Sleepwrap product helps to keep babies faces clear of obstructions by preventing “creeping” up or down during sleep and also reduces the risk of falls and injuries and aids in a safer transition from cot to bed. Falls are the major reason for Miriam developing the Safe T Sleep products. 

Statistics show that in most ‘developed’ countries in the 0-4 age group, nearly one in five hospital admissions due to falls involve falls from cots, beds and bunks.  The Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap in conjunction with the new Safe T Sleep Head Wedge have already been used successfully by many parents to help ensure that their baby’s head stays in alternate positions at each sleep.  This helps to prevent flat spots developing.  The Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap is ideal for both travelling and everyday use.
