From the Editor
There is part of me
that really looks forward to the children going back to school. For
the first time in ages I finally have my house to myself, I can
listen to my type of music or no noise at all! I can indulge in a
sweet snack without having to share it with other members of my
family. And I can actually talk to my husband without having a
three-way conversion with my husband and one of my four children!
But there is also part of me that realises that it means the start
of another year of juggling work and family commitments. I do find
both aspects of my life very rewarding, but family will always come
first over work.
However one thing
about work that always makes me want to continue in this job is that
I have come to realise that we have a responsibility to our readers.
This month we update you with the latest product warning from MAF
Bio Security New Zealand and the Department of Health. They warn of
a product that children would play with contains some very poisonous
seeds, read more >>>.
We have updated our
events page with some
exciting events that you may be interested in. Check out the
Matakana community toilet
fundraiser or perhaps a romantic
night under the stars and don't forget to check out about
our
National Children's Day while your about it.
And of course our
magazine wouldn't be complete without another special place for you
to take your family to. We discovered this special place just south
of Ohope in the North Island.
So enjoy this month
and keep safe over this month.
Cheers
Gaye
